As a roofing contractor with a proven track record extending back to our inception in 2008, Briggs Roofing Services Ltd has comprehensive experience with guttering, fascias and soffits. The system that these features create, known as the ‘roofline’, plays a vital role in keeping roofs in optimal condition. Quite simply, roofline products channel water away from the roofing area in order to prevent moisture ingress. In our role as the roofing contractor of choice, our work on guttering, fascias and soffits ensures the good condition of materials such as tiles, roofing felt and timbers, thus reducing the likelihood of future roof repairs.
Located in Morley, we operate in Leeds, Wakefield and across West Yorkshire. Our roofline services come backed by 20 years of trade and industry experience as well as recognition from the Federation of Master Builders. As such, we offer our domestic, commercial and industrial clients unbeatable results with the ultimate peace of mind.
As a locally trusted roofing contractor, we carry out the following roofline services:

For the benefit of our new and returning clients, we have taken a closer look below at the important role played by roofline systems.
Guttering – The vast majority of gutters that we fit as a roofing contractor come in uPVC and primarily consist of four basic designs: half round, deep flow, square and ogee. Before installation, we take the time to consider a range of factors such as the angle of the roof’s pitch, its overall size and the maximum expected flow.
After collating the relevant information, we have a much clearer idea of the guttering requirements. With colour and design preferences put forward by our clients, as well as factoring in connecting to any neighbouring roofline systems where required, we then schedule an installation date.
Our team attaches guttering to the fascia board with a barely perceptible fall. With swift and efficient drainage capabilities, watertight construction and the strength to withstand storms and high winds, our guttering drastically reduces the likelihood of water ingress.
Fascias – As the long, straight uPVC board that extends across the lower edge of the roof, a fascia acts both functionally and aesthetically. Not only does it lend vital support to the first row of roofing tiles, it also covers the somewhat unsightly overhang of timber roofing rafters.
Working in tandem with the soffit, fascias make up one half of the watertight seal that surrounds the exposed roofing timbers. Without this protection, the rafters would be at the mercy of rain and ice. As such, fascias remain key to minimising damp and rot problems.
Soffits – Whereas fascias cover the feet of rafters, soffits protect their equally as exposed underside from moisture damage and rot. As such, homeowners in Morley, Leeds, Wakefield and the neighbouring areas can find their soffit on the underside of the roof overhang.
In our role as your roofing contractor, we can install soffits with added ventilation grates for properties that need improved airflow within their loft space. By regulating the loft temperature during the summer and winter extremes, we lower the risk of roofing timber decay.
In addition to guttering, fascias and soffits, our clients should note that roofline systems for detached, semi-detached and end-of-terraced homes also consist of a box end and bargeboard. As with the rest of the system, these feature also come in robust uPVC options.
